ABOUT THE LLIBERTAT GROUP
Llibertat was originally founded in the UK by Padma Gillen, former Head of Content Design at the UK’s Government Digital Service and author of Lead with Content.
In 2019 we won the ContentEd Award for Excellence in Content Strategy for our work with the University of Southampton. In 2021 we helped the university win 3 out of 6 ContentEd awards – for user focus, collaboration and again for excellence in content strategy.
After receiving interest in our work from clients in the United States, in 2021 we incorporated in the US and opened an office in Scottsdale, AZ to service our US clients.
We have a small central team and a large network of:
- content designers
- content strategists
- user researchers
- service designers
- delivery managers
- UX designers
OUR APPROACH
AGILE
From discovery to live, we design and deliver agile, content-led projects. We often help our clients introduce agile approaches into a non-agile organisational culture through training, coaching and successful project delivery.
USER-LED
We take a user-needs approach to websites, content strategy, service design and digital marketing. Our decisions are evidence-based and our methodology is tried and tested. Online, your success is measured by how well you meet user needs.
CONTENT FIRST
Too many organizations focus on the technology and code, leaving content until the end of the process. But for users, the content *is* the service – so it makes sense to lead with content and design systems that support that.

“We brought in Llibertat to advise one of our clients on how to incorporate user needs into their governance, content operations and CMS. They provided expert, evidence-based consultancy over a number of months and left the client with what they needed to make the right decision for them.”
